The Spokane Show

What a busy few days it's been setting up for the Spokane show!  You'll see that the booth comes with only a concrete floor and and black curtains.  It involves many hours of getting ready to make it feel like my store.  I thought you'd like to see the progression of unloading all these goodies from my shop!

Stop by the fairgrounds all you local quilters!  I'd love to see you! (And see if you recognize anyone from the very last picture!)

Chocolate Mousse

Sometimes a girl just needs a little chocolate to go with her quilting projects.  I made this mousse the other night.  It's unlike other recipes in that it's not made with sugar.  I've been eliminating sugar in my foods and I'm feeling great!

Chocolate Mousse
8 oz. low fat cream cheese
8 oz. low fat cottage cheese
    1 1/3 C. skim milk
1 pkg. sugar-free chocolate fudge pudding mix
    8 oz. Lite Cool-Whip

Blend first three ingredients in food processor or blender until smooth.  Slowly add chocolate pudding mix until blended.  Fold in Cool-Whip and chill for three hours.  Sew while waiting. Scrumptious!

Start 'em Young!

Tuesdays are busy around Quilt Patch Lane! I open my store on this day once a week from 10-6 for local quilters who want to see the fabric in person. I also host quite a few quilt groups and customers by appointment throughout the rest of the week. You just never know who is going to walk through the door!

One thing is for sure though: everyone is happy to come and that's the best part of my job. My little granddaughter pictured here loves to stop by for scraps for baby doll quilts!
